Application Deadline: July 15, 2012
Selection notification:
Artists will be notified on August 1, 2012 whether or not their work has been accepted for exhibition.
Thematic criteria:
Applications should include a statement of how the artist is using concepts, images or materials to encourage green, sustainable ways of living.
Submission eligibility:
All forms of visual and performing arts are welcome.
Must be appropriate for public viewing.
Must be of sound construction and ready to hang.
Transportation of the artwork to and from the event is the responsibility of the artist.
Submission materials:
Completed application form including artist’s statement
and $35 non-refundable application fee (CGE donation).
Digital images of one to six works, more than one piece may be accepted for exhibit .
Awards:
Jury of exhibited works will include Shawn Decker, Professor, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Harvey Pranian, professional Curator, and Alain Gavin, Professor of Art, Chicago State University.
Modest cash prizes will be awarded:
Jury Award
People’s Choice Award
Green Artist Award
